Pre-Season Coach Registration Process
There are several of steps you need to take to be allowed to meet with kids or serve in an official capacity for HSC. Some are required by Massachusetts Laws, some are required by MYSA/NVYSL, and others are required by our local club. This applies to Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and various Club Staff. Some of these steps only apply for those that are part of the travel program with NVYSL.
Please make sure you follow the instructions below before the first practice session of the season:
- Register with MYSA
- Submit for a one-time CORI check if required
- Do two trainings on the U.S. Soccer Learning Center:
- SafeSport Abuse Prevention Training – required annually, first training is ~1.5 hours long with a time tracker so you must take that much time; bi-annual refresher is ~30 min
- Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments: This course fulfills the required concussion awareness training and is valid for two years
- To load the certificates of training on your MYSA account:
- Sign into SportsConnect
- Go to My Account
- Click on Certificates
- Click the “Get Learning Center Updates” button
- If you are not CORI verified, bring you CORI Form (found on MyAccount, Applications, Adult/CORI Registration, Receipt and Forms) to the pre-season coach’s meeting
- Also have the ID you used in the application (usually your Driver's License)
- Find the Registrar who will confirm the two match and verify you
